Network Rail awards place on Framework Agreement to Remote Aerial Surveys

Richard Allitt Associates' Remote Aerial Survey (RAS) business has been awarded a place on the national framework agreement by Network Rail for the delivery of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Services. RAS successfully bid to supply infrastructure inspection and survey services for a three-year period. The inspections and surveys will cover post incident inspections/surveys as well as deliver regular maintenance inspections of the Network Rail asset base such as structures, embankments and overhead line equipment.

Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc., a leading manufacturer of mission critical systems for defense and aerospace applications, has received a contract from the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) to supply advanced rugged computer processing modules for use in an advanced, large Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) demonstrator being developed for the Robotic Vehicle Control Architecture (RVCA) for a Future Force Army Technology Objective (ATO). The Curtiss-Wright Controls processor modules will be used to host the battle command software for the UGV.

The Boeing Company has received a contract worth up to $78 million from VSE Corp. as part of a team that will provide logistics support services for the Route Clearing Vehicles (RCV) Modernization Program to strengthen the U.S. military's defense against roadside mines and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). The contract has a potential value of $226 million if the program is lengthened to cover the entire fleet of RCVs.
