: 21 December, 2009  (Application Story)
Mission critical IT support to be provided by NCI under new contract encompassing Army garrisons in Orlando and Huntsville and at Fort Belvoir and Fort Carson
NCI, a provider of information technology (IT), engineering, and professional services and solutions to US Federal Government agencies, has been awarded a single-award, seven-year competitive task order with an award value of approximately $309 million from the Corporate Information Office (CIO) of the US Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), in Orlando, Florida; the US Army Garrison, Fort Belvoir Directorate of Information Management (USAG, FB-DOIM); and the US Army Garrison, Fort Carson Directorate of Information Management (USAG, FCCO-DOIM). The competitive award was made under the US Army Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – 2 Services (ITES-2S) IDIQ contract.

Under the task order contract, the NCI team will provide a wide array of IT, systems engineering, and infrastructure support services to PEO STRI, FB-DOIM, and FCCO-DOIM in support of their respective missions. This contract will provide nationwide, mission-critical support to these three distinct customers in Orlando, FL; Huntsville, AL; Fort Belvoir, VA; and Fort Carson, CO. Support services include network operations; Local/Wide/Campus Area Networks (LAN/WAN/CAN); data center; cybersecurity and information assurance; data, telecommunications, and spectrum management; customer technical and remote support; software application development; Army enterprise architectural support; and other related services. The period of performance for this task order has a base period running through January 15, 2011, with six 1-year options extending the contract through January 14, 2017.

“It has been an honour to support our PEO STRI CIO customer for the past five years and more recently the DOIMs at Fort Belvoir and Fort Carson. This program win substantiates NCI’s outstanding performance on these predecessor contracts. Our goal remains to continue to support our customers’ transformational vision, provide outstanding IT services to their end users, and remain on the leading edge of technology. We once again look forward to the opportunity to continue our relationship as we support these important customers in the delivery of their daily mission,” said Charles Narang, Chief Executive Officer for NCI.

“NCI is thrilled to have been awarded this task order contract. This contract enables us to continue our relationship with these important US Army customers and deliver innovative, cost-effective services for PEO STRI, FB-DOIM, and FCCO-DOIM. We look forward to supporting our customers’ transformational goals while meeting the needs of their end users in accomplishing their critical missions today and over the life of the program,” said Terry Glasgow, President.
