Universal threat filtration system for tents

Beth-El Zikhron Yaagov Industries Ltd : 10 September, 2013  (New Product)
Designed for use in military camps, the tent air filtration system from Beth-El provides protection to camp occupants from a wide range of contaminants
Universal threat filtration system for tents

Beth-El Industries introduces a new configuration to its multi-platform interoperable air filtration system  - FA 160 ZM-2 - at DSEI, September 10-13, London, at the Israel National Pavilion, Booth # S8-268. The FA 160 ZM-2 for tents was developed to offer the same high level of safety and protection as is provided in the vehicle and mobile shelter systems.  Working in even the most difficult environments, the system safeguards soldiers’ lives and their equipment in all operational areas against a wide variety of airborne contaminants, including CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear), TIC (Toxic Industrial Chemicals), sand, dust and fine dust.

The configuration for tents joins the previous configurations of vehicle and container systems, enabling an interoperability of sub-components that reduces military logistics footprints. The FA 160 ZM-2 was designed to offer versatile protection, operating in both positive and negative pressure.  In positive pressure situations, the system offers full collective protection to the inhabitants of the pressurized area, while in negative pressure scenarios, it enables isolation of contaminated personnel and equipment.  The flexibility of the pressure options meets the growing requirements in the unpredictable atmosphere of today’s conflicts, and provides for a wide range of collective protection facilities - such as mobile command posts, military camps, and field hospitals.  The system is lightweight and can be quickly and easily moved from place to place as required.

Due to Beth-El's patented filter technology, the company's filters can be used continuously, 24/7, operating at the same high performance level without adsorption being reduced. This capability is critical for modern asymmetrical battles, where attacks are often unanticipated, leaving soldiers with insufficient time to activate the filtering system.  Because of the highly effective and self-cleaning cyclone filter, followed by a pre-filter, the main filters (HEPA or CBRN-Filter cartridge) are kept clean and operational. These filtration stages ensure the highest efficiency for prolonged periods of time, even in the harshest environments, providing soldiers with full, continuous protection at all times.

Beth-El will also Showcase these additional Systems at DSEI:

The FA 60 VM-1 and the FA 120 VM-17 are versatile and customizable ventilation and CBRN and TIC filtration systems for vehicles and containers that can be accommodated by any armored vehicle chassis or mobile shelter. They incorporate a highly efficient cyclone filter for heavy duty sand and dust extraction, followed by a pre-filter for any remaining fine dust. A CBRN filtration stage follows these dust filtration stages to remove nuclear, biological, radiological, chemical, and explosive particles from the air. The systems are lightweight, with very low power consumption, and are designed for continuous, 24/7 operation for months, without the need to change filters.
