Round the World Helicopter Flight Record Holder Orders Grand New Helicopter
AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that business man and pilot Scott Kasprowicz has signed a contract for a Grand New Helicopter. Scott Kasprowicz and Steve Sheik set a new world speed record in 2008 in an AgustaWestland Grand Helicopter having flown around the world in only 11 days 7 hours and 5 minutes, breaking the old record by almost 6 days.

Lou Bartolotta, Executive Vice President Sales for North America said “The fact that an individual of Scott’s renown in the Helicopter aviation community has chosen the Grand New to follow his record-breaking AgustaWestland Grand speaks volumes. We can only await the news of what Scott plans for this aircraft with excitement and the full sense of adventure Scott brings to everything he does.”

An evolution of the highly successful Grand helicopter, the Grand New features the most modern developments in Avionics while retaining the outstanding Grand’s characteristics. As the first light twin Helicopter on the market fully compliant with the latest advanced global positioning system-based navigation requirements for all weather operations, the Grand New offers the operators unprecedented opportunities for the exploitation of rotorcraft capabilities setting a new standard on the Helicopter market in a multitude of applications. Orders for around 290 Grand and Grand New helicopters have been placed by almost 150 customers in over 30 countries worldwide, in order to perform several tasks.
