Microwave technology on show at Eurosatory

TMD Technologies : 19 May, 2014  (Company News)
UK microwave technology specialists attend the Eurosatory Defence and Security Exhibition in Paris in June
Microwave technology on show at Eurosatory

TMD Technologies (TMD) is very pleased to be exhibiting this year at Eurosatory - as part of the ADS UK Pavilion; Hall 5/KJ398.

Nigel Hann, TMD’s Head of Sales comments “The decision to exhibit at Eurosatory this year is part of TMD’s strategy to build and develop its business in Europe, to balance our already strong presence in Asia and the USA. In the past year we have added an Eastern European specialist to the Sales Team, and most recently a new European Territory Manager to help us focus and energise this process.”

Steve Humphries, TMD’s new European Territory Manager says “At Eurosatory we look forward to taking part in the ADS UK Pavilion; meeting customers to discuss the ways in which TMD can provide microwave technology solutions to complex problems in Defence & Security – via our TWT amplifiers, transmitters, microwave power modules (MPMs), high voltage power supplies and microwave tubes.”

In particular, TMD will be describing the latest developments in its MPM range, which now includes both TWT based and solid state products. Particularly applicable for avionics applications, these MPMs are ultra-compact and lightweight, as well as providing high efficiency and reliability. Suitable for radar, EW and communications applications, these pulsed and continuous wave "drop-in" amplifier blocks are fully integrated, making installation simple and safe.

TMD's high power, fast warm, Ku band travelling wave tubes (TWTs) designed for missile seekers, will also be under discussion. One model is the PT6789, which operates at the top of the Ku radar band and provides a peak power as high as 1000 W. It also offers a high duty ratio of up to 33%, at very high pulse repetition frequencies.
