Infonic - New Contract woth ATLAS Consortium

Infonic : 06 November, 2007  (Company News)
Infonic plc, (IFNC) the AIM-listed provider of innovative information management software, has been awarded a major contract with the EDS-led, ATLAS Consortium ('ATLAS') for the supply of software licence and maintenance to the UK Ministry of Defence ('MoD') totalling a minimum of £8.3 million ($17.3 million). Software with a value of £4.1 million ($8.5 million) will be delivered within the first 90 days of the contract with the balance comprising contracted maintenance and services to the value of £4.2 ($8.7) million over a 7 year period.

Under the terms of the contract, Infonic will provide ATLAS with its industry leading Geo-Replication software which will be utilised in the UK Defence Information Infrastructure (Future) project ('DII (F)'), which is managed by ATLAS and has been commissioned by the MoD.

This new contract with ATLAS, together with several sizeable contracts won over the last six months, will considerably strengthen Infonic's balance sheet. In addition, the Company is currently in discussion with shareholders regarding financing options to help it to develop its sales and marketing infrastructure in order to meet the increasing global demand for its technology.

Mark Thompson, Chief Executive of Infonic commented today:

'The award of this contract is a significant achievement, and the culmination of over two years of work within our Geo-Replication division. We are delighted to have been selected by the ATLAS Consortium to supply software to support the MoD deployment of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 across 250 of the 1,300 sites covered by DII (F) and we look forward to working with the customer to define additional opportunities within the project.

We now have a rapidly growing customer-base including the Royal Air Force, US Navy, US Army, US Marine Corps, PwC and RJ Reynolds. This latest contract clearly demonstrates the importance of efficiently accelerating information delivery across global enterprises as well as our clear technological leadership in this field.

To win a contract of this size and importance is an encouraging validation of our technology vision and we look forward to building upon this success during the months ahead.'
