High power coaxial termination

The new AMCOL-2-7/8 coaxial termination from Link Microtek has been designed to safely absorb high-power microwave and RF signals in a wide variety of operational systems and test-and-measurement applications.

Developed and produced at Link’s premises in the centre of Basingstoke, the new device provides excellent performance over its specified operating frequency range of DC to 3.1GHz, with a power handling capability of up to 50W and a maximum return loss of 27dB.

This 50-ohm termination incorporates an EIA 7/8in. brass connector and can also be supplied with an optional quick-release flange, which is a particularly useful time-saving feature in a test environment where the device is likely to be connected and disconnected repeatedly.

Equipped with an anodised aluminium heatsink to ensure optimum thermal dissipation, the AMCOL-2-7/8 termination has overall dimensions of 202 (L) x 60 (D) mm.

For applications requiring a non-standard product, Link is able to design and supply bespoke terminations to meet customer specifications with regard to performance, materials, dimensions and choice of connector.
