High performance single axis angular rate sensor

Inertial Aerosystems UK : 24 November, 2009  (New Product)
Aircraft flight control and platform stabilisation feature among the applications for Inertial Aerosystems’ new single axis angular rate sensor
High performance single axis angular rate sensor
Inertial Aerosystems have introduced a new high performance single axis angular rate sensor designed for the most demanding commercial applications. Designated the SDG1000, it is manufactured by US based Systron Donner Inertial. The excellent performance of this product is based on SDI's proven quartz MEMS sensing element, which provides superior bias stability and repeatability. <10/hour in run bias stability and <.1√hour noise are achieved, unprecedented in a commercial product.

This innovative product has no moving parts and the electronics are completely self contained.

The SDG has a simple DC input of + and -10/16Vdc, with an operating temperature of-55 to 85 degrees C. It has internal temperature sensors and low noise.

Ideal for use where space and weight are at a premium it measures 35.81mmL x 27.29W x 16.9D and weighs less than 60 Grams.

Applications include primary/secondary standby attitude indicator systems, short term navigation, attitude and heading reference systems, aircraft flight control, platform stabilisation, precise instrumentation, robotics and autonomous vehicle control.
