Four companies join MoD partnership programme

The MOD will be able to access broader industrial expertise via the Niteworks partnership, with the announcement that four new companies have become associate members. The companies are: Nova Systems; Electronic Warfare Solutions (EWS); System Design Evaluation Ltd (SDE) and Serco Consulting.

Nova Systems provides expertise in Capability Management, Air Test and Evaluation, Flight Simulation and Aerospace Engineering. By employing capability focussed engineers alongside operators who have an engineering background, Nova provides practical solutions to complex technical and programme management problems.

EWS is an independent consultancy operating in the fields of Electronic Warfare, Electronic Countermeasures, Counter Terrorism and Counter-IED. Based in Newark, Nottinghamshire and with a client base that spans over 20 countries, EWS provides specialist assistance to Government Agencies, Industry and the User community.

SDE is an independent Technology Company, whose core business is the provision of impartial assessment, design, development and safety management of platforms, munitions and weapon systems. Covering land, sea and air domains, it provides technical support in areas such as requirements engineering, trials management, test and evaluation planning and weapons effects modelling.

Serco Consulting is the independent consulting arm of Serco, the FTSE 250 international services company. It helps its clients transform how they perform, whether people, operations, infrastructure or technology. Serco Consulting has worked on a number of Defence Change Programmes within the Defence Transformation Portfolio and engages with stakeholders at all levels of the MOD.

Confirming the new associates, Samantha Page, Head of Commercial / Partnering at Niteworks said: "Niteworks members can engage in the partnership’s activities through various mechanisms, from applying for specific roles on projects to participating in workshops and review panels. This mechanism ensures that our projects benefit from the best industry advice and, in turn, can provide an impartial, pan-industry view to the MOD.

“I’m delighted to welcome another four associates on board and look forward to seeing the diverse expertise and resources they can bring in support of our work.”

Demand for Niteworks membership remains strong, with another 15 companies signing up since the start of the new MOD contract for Niteworks in April 2013. Over the past year more than 280 people from across Niteworks’ members have worked on projects on behalf of the MOD.
