Elbit Systems Ltd. inaugurated the Beechcraft King Air B200 'Tzofit' training center for Israeli Air Force (IAF) pilots. At the heart of the training center is the advanced flight simulator.
The new training center is operated through a PFI (Private Financing Initiative) program, with an inclusive Elbit Systems solution that includes the establishment of the training center, its operation, and the supply of trainers and training services, as well as maintenance for a 10-year period. The Israel Ministry of Defense will purchase training hours for the IAF from Elbit Systems.

As the IAF's pilots commence training at the facility, Elbit Systems is planning an extensive training program that will also include civil aviation pilots, both from Israel and from abroad. Elbit Systems expects in the near future to conclude the licensing process for the training of civil aviation pilots, the highest FAA licensing level for flight trainers (Full Flight Simulator Level D).

Elbit Systems operates within the global simulator market and supplies systems for all types of platforms, including those for air, land and naval applications, as well as interdisciplinary simulators to enable joint forces training. Elbit Systems utilizes its advanced technological capabilities, particularly in developing software for complex system programs, and its global leadership in upgrading defense and civilian platforms

Elbit Systems was selected by the IDF as prime contractor for this project. The trainer was jointly developed with the Canadian company Mechtronix, which operates as sub-contractor in the project.
