Smiths Detection opens Homeland Security Sales and Marketing office in Maryland, New Jersey
Smiths Detection has opened a new facility in Morristown to serve as the centre of excellence for its Homeland Security Sales and Marketing, Global Service Organization, and Finance and Administration for the Americas.

Mark Laustra, Vice President of Homeland Security, Smiths Detection, said: “We are excited to have all of our people under one roof. A single site allows us to work more efficiently and leverage our talent and experience to provide even better service to our customers. Morristown is a great location, and the new building will suit us perfectly.”

Located at 60A Columbia Road, the facility combines the functions of the former Pine Brook and Warren offices and will feature a state-of-the-art product showroom for customer demonstrations.

Smiths Detection has the world’s largest array of inspection and detection solutions that serve homeland security, aviation, critical infrastructure, and ports and border security markets. About 150 employees of the total 800 US-based Smiths Detection workforce will occupy the 78,000 square-foot Morristown facility.

Smiths Detection’s other main US sites are in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Virginia.
