Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings : 12 June, 2008  (Company News)
AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings is featuring its latest aerospace and military grade coatings at Farnborough
These include the new Aerowave® series, a brand new generation of structural coatings for use on internal structures that features exceptional toughness and flexibility with big improvements in handling, application and environmental properties.

Others are: the Eclipse exterior polyurethane topcoat, combining exceptional ease of use and other operational benefits in aircraft manufacture and maintenance with a high quality, extremely durable gloss finish; the Aviox® Advanced range, which has all the user and environmental benefits of a high-solids, low VOC, formulation with the added advantages of shorter process times and extended durability; and the large family of Special Effect Coatings, offering airlines and aircraft livery designers an unrivalled choice of unusual and eye-catching finishes and design options.

For military applications, Aerodur® 5000 is a high performance military aircraft camouflage coating, which can be applied in only one coat on new builds, in routine maintenance or for quick in-field camouflage repairs.

'In line with our policy of continuous development, we have launched and established new ranges and added to our existing products continuously during the last year, ' said Ian Walker, General Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). 'Visitors to the stand can update themselves on all these products and find out about our plans to launch other industry changing products in the coming months.'
