Homeland Security Strategies, (HSS), has announced the release of its BombJammer(tm) VIP 300HD Hybrid Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Defeat Jamming System. HSS is currently taking orders for demonstrations and delivery to approved countries for deployment of the system to counter roadside IED threats.
 
General Dynamics - TRAIDE Contract

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, has been awarded the Target Recognition and Advanced Identification Development and Evaluation (TRAIDE) contract by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The contract is valued at $20 million over a 64-month period of performance.
 
QinetiQ successfully fires composite 155mm artillery munition

QinetiQ, as the lead contractor in Team ImpaQt, has successfully fired the first metre long fully composite 'strength of design' projectile at the MOD Eskmeals, Cumbria firing range. Part of an MOD-wide initiative to ensure modern fighting forces are suitably equipped and have maximum mobility to operate on tomorrow's urban battlefields, this is a key stage in the UK MOD Lightweight Advanced Munition (LWAM), part of the Advanced Ordnance Demonstrator (AOD) programme.

General Dynamics C4 Systems has received a task order from the U.S. Army to integrate BBN Technologies' 'Boomerang' sniper-detection system with the Land Warrior system, enabling Land Warrior-equipped soldiers to identify and respond to a sniper's shot within seconds. The new capability, requested by Land Warrior-equipped troops serving in Iraq, improves soldiers' ability to detect and respond to enemy sniper fire.

Minewolf - Mini MineWolf on Jordanian/Syrian Border

Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) has purchased its 3rd Mini MineWolf for humanitarian demining operations. The mechanical demining machine will be deployed along the Jordan-Syria border where an estimated 67,000 anti -personnel (AP) and anti Tank (AT) mines were deployed along a more than 100km mine-belt before 1973 (source: Landmine Monitor). The remote-controlled unit complements a MineWolf large-scale demining machine already working in Jordan since August 2006, helping to clear over 1.1 million square meters along the Jordan-Israel border. Since 2006 the Mini MineWolf has been deployed in 3 countries, clearing a total of over 2.5 million square meters.

ATK Receives $18 Million Rolling Airframe Missile Contract

Alliant Techsystems has received an $18-million contract to upgrade the solid propellant rocket motor of Raytheon's Block 2 Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM). RAM provides U.S. Navy surface ships with a lightweight, low- cost, self-defense system to defeat incoming anti-ship cruise missiles, as well as helicopter, airplane, and surface threats. Work on the RAM Block 2 rocket motor system design and development (SDD) contract will be performed by ATK at its manufacturing center of excellence in Rocket Center, West Virginia.
