AC&E - Linux Cluster for Warhead Design
Design Software, CAD and Modelling : 18 September, 2007
Applied Computing & Engineering (AC&E) has developed a highperformance Linux cluster for Lockheed-Martin UK INSYS to simulate warhead design and to produce high fidelity synthetic imagery in real time. Simulation is increasingly favoured by Lockheed Martin's defence agency customers. The brief to AC&E was to develop a Linux cluster for Lockheed Martin's Warhead and CAMEO-SIM development teams. The Warhead team uses a shockwave physics computer code, CTH, to simulate high-speed impact and penetration. CAMEO-SIM is computationally intensive synthetic scene generator developed by Lockheed Martin on behalf of the UK MoD.

Clockwork Solutions - Total Life Cycle Management
IT Equipment and Services : 16 August, 2007
In Mid April, Clockwork Solutions engaged again with industry leaders looking for avenues to establish and maintain processes and capabilities for managing PBL proposals and life cycle systems sustainment within their organizations. CSI kicked off a series of exhibits which started with the Aging Aircraft event in Palm Springs. Next, CSI partnered with experts from Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps and Bearing Point to present a comprehensive Total Life Cycle Management (TLCM-AT) workshop as a keynote offering at the IDGA's PBL conference in Alexandria, VA. Clockwork Solutions' President Sean Connors lead the Master Class series titled 'Effective PBL Management - Discussion and Case Study.' Mr. Connors and team were on hand to answer the many diverse questions of PBL management and implementation. 'We enjoyed the opportunity to present our ideas and activities in life cycle systems sustainment and performance modeling. Proper PBL solutions should enable industry to acquire, maintain and analyze data, develop affordable and profitable sustainment alternatives, and ultimately execute contacts with little to no surprises along the way. Our goal was simply to help industry increase their awareness of enabling technologies in the market today, and to demonstrate the fact that success metrics can be established and achieved in and round life cycle modeling and analysis of key performance indicators throughout the life cycle of equipment operations. We appreciate the time spent with each person attending the session, and we believe that we were able to shed some light into the PBL environment.'
