General Dynamics - USS Alexandia Maintenance Contract

The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics Electric Boat a $46.7 million contract to perform routine maintenance and modernization work on the USS Alexandria (SSN-757), a Los Angeles-class attack submarine. Electric Boat is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics.

AgustaWestland is pleased to announce the sale of an A119 Koala helicopter to the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust of New Zealand. The arrival of the A119 Koala at Base Hospital will dramatically improve the capability of the Taranaki Rescue to provide emergency medical services in the Taranaki district, ranging from Waikawau (Tirau Point) in the north, inland to Tangarakau and south to the coast at Waitotara.

Carrier Based Aircraft Stowage, Launch and Recovery : 07 March, 2007
Curtiss-Wright Corporation, through its Motion Control segment, has received a contract from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for the supply of Recovery Assist Secure and Traverse (RAST) probes to be fitted on 28 of the H-92 helicopters destined for the Canadian Maritime Helicopter Program. Valued at over $13 million, the contract includes all design, development, testing and delivery of production probes for the contracted helicopters.

In 2001 Aish was approached by NG Sperry Marine to quote for the design and manufacture of the Operator Consoles for the Platform Management System for the T45 Destroyer. After several visits to our facility in Poole, NG Sperry were convinced of our pedigree within the Naval environment and our ability to carry out the required task. Our customer was experienced in platform management systems on commercial vessels but had no previous history on RN ships and specifically the harsh operating environment that protection would be required to guard against.
