Boeing has successfully completed Avionics Modernization Program (AMP) upgrades on C-130 aircraft AMP 3 (H3). The aircraft moved into ground test and evaluation at Boeing's Global Services & Support facility in San Antonio on Sept. 26. AMP 3 reached its 'power up' milestone on Oct. 1, when Boeing employees turned on the aircraft's electrical systems.
 
Boeing CH-47F Chinook Helicopter Fielded by US Army's 1st Cavalry Division

Boeing has announced that its CH-47F Chinook helicopter has been fielded by Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. This is the third U.S. Army unit to field the CH-47F since the aircraft was certified combat-ready in July 2007. The 4th Infantry Division fielded the F model earlier this year.
