After a series of successful tests, armored vehicles, including a Slovak TATRAPAN and a BAE Systems RG-32M equipped with MOKYS communications and information systems technologies were handed over in an official ceremony in Presov.

General Dynamics - Contract for Abrams Tank Technical Support

The U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, an $11.2 million contract modification for Abrams Tank System Technical Support (STS). The award will fund engineering studies on Abrams tanks to identify improvements and replace obsolete parts to maintain the tanks at high operational readiness rates. The work will be performed by existing General Dynamics Land Systems employees in Sterling Heights, Michigan. It is expected to be completed by December 31, 2011.

The first SMART-S Mk2 surveillance radar, installed on the HDMS Absalon of the Royal Danish Navy, passed the Sea Acceptance Test (SAT) with flying colours. Overall conclusion: SMART-S Mk2 easily exceeded all requirements. In particular the requirement for low elevation tracking accuracy was typically exceeded by a factor 7. During the tests , SMART-S Mk2 was controlled through Absalon's third-party supplied CFlex Command and Control system.
