The new `Coyote` Tactical Support Vehicle (Light), due to enter service later this year in support of operations in Afghanistan, received its official launch today by Quentin Davies, Minister, Defence Equipment and Services, at DVD, the annual event showcasing land equipment for the UK’s Armed Forces. Designed by Supacat, over 70 of the new Coyote vehicles are being manufactured by Babcock alongside the existing Jackal 2 production line.
Supacat - Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the British Army?s fleet of Mine Protected Vehicles (MPV)

Supacat’s contract to provide Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the British Army’s fleet of Mine Protected Vehicles (MPV) has been renewed by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). The new CLS contract was finalised in 2007 and extends to 2010. It follows on from a 2002 MoD Urgent Operational Requirement, in which Supacat was selected to procure the MPV fleet from Force Protection Inc, modify it to meet British Army requirements and bring the vehicle into service in 2003.
Supacat - New MWMIK 4x4 vehicles for British Army

The UK MoD will buy new weapons-mounted patrol vehicles under an Urgent Operational Requirement for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The new MWMIK 4x4 vehicles were described by one serving officer as ′like a Landover on steroids.’ The MWMIK will deliver a new level of power to the WMIK fleet, with more firepower and a better range and mobility. It will be fast for a 4 tonne vehicle, with a potential top speed of 80mph.
