Workshop details for Avionics Europe event

PennWell Corporation, organisers of the premier platform for the Avionics community, Avionics Europe, has announced details of the Workshops that will run alongside the prestigious Exhibition and Conference.

Avionics Europe will be held from the 24th and 25th March, 2010 at the Passenger Terminal (City Centre) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and will for the first time incorporate a track on the important area of Defence Electronics.

Workshop Subjects to Include:

Wednesday 24th March 2010

- Challenges and Solutions for Certifying C++ Object Orientated Embedded Software Applications.
- A Partitioned, Safety Critical Graphical Abstraction Layer.
- Implementing an AFDX End System in complex FPGA Logic - Objectives and Safety Considerations.
- High Speed Databus COTS Hardware.

Thursday 25th March 2010

- Software Performance Optimisation; How to Avoid Early Obsolescence of Avionics Systems.
- Software Safety and Security in the Context of Standards.
- Evaluating the Benefits of Today's Available DO-178B Level A Certified COTS Software Products
- Required Formal Methods for UAS Safety Critical Software Development
- An insight into Assisting Aviation Display Designers by Measuring Visual Clutter.

The Avionics Europe workshops offer a shorter, more interactive technology sessions that goes deeper into detail and provides the opportunity to discuss and debate with the moderator and workshop group.

The workshops also compliment the main conference which will tackle the key issues in todays aviation and defence electronics industry and is themed 'Enabling Performance Based Operations'.
