Deal ensures continuation of long-standing, 30 year partnership
Vizada, the world’s leading satellite communications provider, and Inmarsat, the leading provider of global mobile satellite communications services, today announced that they have concluded final negotiation for Vizada’s distribution of Inmarsat services over the next five years. These include “existing & evolved services” (Fleet, GAN, Swift, etc.), new generation IP-based broadband services including BGAN, FleetBroadband and SwiftBroadband, as well as leased services. The new agreement ensures a continuation of the long-standing relationship that Vizada and Inmarsat have shared as partners for over three decades

“Inmarsat services represent the core of Vizada’s product offering, and the renewal of our distribution agreement marks an important step for us and our service provider partners,” said Erik Ceuppens, Chief Executive Officer of Vizada EMEA & Asia. “The complementary strength of Inmarsat and Vizada has allowed us to grow and innovate the mobile satellite industry globally and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Inmarsat now and in the future.”

“Vizada is a long-standing and highly-valued partner to Inmarsat, and one of our two largest distributors,” said Perry Melton, Chief Operating Officer of Inmarsat. “They have been instrumental in delivering our services to a broad range of industry sectors around the world, and have shown real leadership in the market through their competitive value-added capabilities for service providers and end users. We look forward to building on this strong relationship in the coming years.”

In 2008 Vizada’s Inmarsat mobile satellite activities outperformed the market and represent now close to 40% of Inmarsat wholesale revenues. Vizada was also the number one provider for on-demand Inmarsat services, and held the leading position on revenues for Inmarsat growth products such as BGAN, Fleet / FleetBroadband and Swift / SwiftBroadband. The new agreement allows Vizada to build on this positive growth trend, supported by its network of service provider partners which have been a key driver of the MSS industry.

In addition with the Vizada SolutionsTM suite of value added services, the 24/7 global customer care and industry leading expertise Vizada continues to offer superior Inmarsat services meeting the needs of remote connectivity users worldwide.
