UVS International - 1st international conference totally dedicated to unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

UVS International is proud to announce that it has been invited by the Indian Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), and Ministry of Defence to partner with these organizations to organize India's 1st international conference totally dedicated to unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
Event designation: ICAUV 2009

Event venue: Eagleton Golf Resort (www.eagletonindia.com)

Location: Bangalore, India

Dates: 3 & 4 April 2009.



ICAUV 2009 will be a “residential” conference with all participants staying at the same hotel where the event is taking place, which will permit the participants unrivalled networking opportunities. Representatives of the Indian Air Force, Army and Navy, as well as all Indian research labs and involved with UAS will participate. A significant number of Indian industry representatives will also be present.



The morning of the first day and the afternoon of the second will take place in plenary session.

The afternoon of the first day and the morning of the second day will consist of five parallel sessions.

The evening of the first day will feature a conference dinner with typical Indian entertainment.



The ICAUV 2009 conference will address all categories & classes of UAS, and will have a special focus on Micro UAS (<5kg), Light UAS (<150kg), MALE UAS and Aerostats.

Regulatory issues (civil & military certification, airworthiness, ATM, standards) will be a very important part of this conference.

In addition, proposals for presentations in the following categories are sought:

l UAS Programme Updates (civil & military);

l Operational Experience & Lessons Learned;

l Experimental UAS Use;

l Flight control systems & Autopilots;

l Auto-Land & Auto-Recovery Systems (land- & ship-based);

l New Systems/Products & Ongoing R&D (systems & sub-systems level);

l Sensors (imaging & non-imaging);

l New Applications (military, commercial, research);

l New & Emerging Technologies.

Furthermore, technical presentations in the following categories may also be submitted:

l Aerodynamics;

l Structures;

l Propulsion.



A liaison officer with a car & driver will be assigned to each confirmed speaker. The liaison officer will pick the speaker up at Bangalore airport upon his arrival and will conduct him to the Eagleton Golf Resort. After the conclusion of the event, the liaison officer will accompany the speaker back to the airport.



In addition, a two nights stay at the Eagleton Golf Resort will be offered to each confirmed speaker.


All proposals for presentations at this event are to be submitted by email to UVS International.

The deadline for submitting proposals is: 15 September 2008.
