TTI - Surface-mount D-subs use advanced design

Strict Standards: Only variables should be passed by reference in /home/defensef/public_html/components/com_zone/handleHTML.php on line 623
TTI (Europe)
: 27 July, 2007  (New Product)
TTI Europe is offering next-generation, surface-mount, D-subminiature connectors from Tyco Electronics, based on a new and advanced design.
The range provides efficient and reliable processing, supporting surface mounting of this industry-standard interface connector in a wide range of applications. A compact, high-performance interconnect, it is available in 9- to 37-position plug and socket variants, and with a full choice of mounting hardware options. Based on a standard footprint, it does not restrict developers to single-sourcing.

Key features of the connector include a carefully-controlled centre of gravity, ensuring stability of the part during and after placement. The range is fully pick-and-place capable using standard vacuum methods, without requiring force. Furthermore, large mounting brackets on the connector provide grounding and exceptional mechanical retention.

With a low, 3.6 mm mounting height, the range helps save valuable space between circuit boards. It also employs 0.8 m gold-plated contacts.
