SAI Global - LOGICOM databse

Strict Standards: Only variables should be passed by reference in /home/defensef/public_html/components/com_zone/handleHTML.php on line 623
SAI Global
: 24 August, 2007  (New Product)
SAI Global has launched LOGICOM, a comprehensive parts & logistics database, set to transform the way that engineers and contractors negotiate the technical minefield of US Government Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) data, Naval Allowance Parts List/Approved Equipage List (APL/AEL), and Procurement History.
LOGICOM combines faster, broader and interlinked search technology allowing users to work faster and more efficiently. Visitors to the DSEi Exhibition 11-14 September will be able to visit our stand (no:2458) to review the database to see for themselves how quick, easy and comprehensive the data is.

Ross Wraight, Chief Executive of SAI Global, said that the much anticipated release of LOGICOM stands out from competitors due to its superior functionality and comprehensive range of searchable data elements.

'LOGICOM will provide first-class service to industry professionals, offering them a more comprehensive, cost-effective package. Users will see a noticeable increase in speed and will have access to a larger and more up-to-date range of technical information', said Mr Wraight.

The database, which contains over 150 million parts, is a comprehensive one-stop solution for supply chain management, engineering, and contracting. Users can now instantly link and cross-reference between multiple government databases such as FLIS, APL/AEL, Military Specifications (active and historical), Procurement History and Vendor Catalogues'

Paul Crosta, Vice President of North America for SAI Global ILI Publishing, said: 'The latest release of LOGICOM clearly puts SAI Global at the forefront of the parts and logistics Industry. By listening to our customers' needs, we have created a customized product solution that improves their efficiency. Furthermore, with our ability to deliver technical standards on a global level, we can now offer a complete and integrated engineering solution to the aerospace and defence industries.'

The new version of LOGICOM also incorporates features unheard of among competitors, including:

Performance Dashboard, a management tool allowing administrators to view a graphical analysis of their organization's usage patterns;

Notepad, a virtual memo pad for user notes;

Xchange, a new online forum for engineering and logistics discussions.
