Quanser's Telepresence system highlighted on Canada's Report on Business Television
MARKHAM, ON, Canada - July 19, 2006 - Quanser's innovative 5DOF Open-Architecture Telepresence system was highlighted on Canada's Report on Business Television while at the June Intelligent Systems 2006 conference in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The system demonstrated here was a compilation of Quanser's COTS open-architecture design platforms fully integrated together to produce an affordable and yet high-precision system for researching and developing force-feedback controls algorithms for incorporation into control-at-a-distance surgical robotics. Also highlighted at IS 2006 (not shown here) were some of the haptic rehabilitation systems that Quanser is currently developing for interacting with virtual reality environments.
