: 15 March, 2011  (Company News)
Murex Welding is making a free guide available to users of Oxy-Fuel Gas Equipment
Standards and practices relating to oxy-fuel cutting and welding safety are the subject of continual change - especially with the globalization of national and European standards. Any company's gas inspectors need to be kept fully up to date in order to keep the workplace and staff safe.

For companies that do not already have qualified personnel, there are opportunities to attend training courses in order to become formally competent. Any course that offers certification by London City and Guilds is definitely worthy of consideration and will deliver the competence required.

The highly regarded Murex/City and Guilds Accredited Gas Inspectors Courses teach candidates how to inspect oxy-fuel gas systems and how to pass them off as safe for use. The two day course includes a theoretical day and a hands-on practical day. Successful candidates are qualified as Competent Inspectors and awarded the City and Guilds of London Certificate.

Used as an essential part of the course, The Safe Use of Oxy-Fuel Gas Equipment publication has been updated and is now in its fourth edition with over 50,000 copies having already been issued to users of oxy-fuel gas equipment including welders, welding supervisors, technical teachers, managers and those responsible for the use of oxy-fuel gas equipment in the workplace.
