Opto Diode Corporation
: 04 September, 2008  (New Product)
Opto Diode Corporation, a leading supplier of advanced performance photodetectors and high-sensitivity, visible and infrared LEDs, introduces the 6 mm² Photodiode-Preamplifier ODA-6WB-100M.
Second in the high sensitivity product family of blue/green-enhanced photodetector/preamps, this new device features a large active area with extremely low noise. The combination detector-preamplifier offers wavelength response at 450 nm, typically 28 V/mW (min. 20). It operates between 400 nm and 1100 nm with peak frequency response at 940 nm and features 100 Mohm transimpedance gain (custom gains are also available, upon request).

The new ODA 6WB-100M is hermetically sealed in a TO-39 can, making it easy to integrate into new or existing systems. It can withstand a soldering temperature (1/16 inch from the case for 3 seconds maximum) up to 260 degrees C, with standard storage and operating temperatures ranging from minus 25 degrees to 100 degrees C. Affordably priced in quantities of 100 units at $44.80 per, the newest product in their blue/green enhanced series is ideal for fluorescence detection and low-light-level medical diagnostic applications.
