: 02 July, 2008  (Company News)
Luciad, the leading software provider for distribution and high performance visualization of geospatial information, will be presenting a number of new product capabilities for ATC/ATM and Air Command and Control applications at Farnborough on July 14-20. The Farnborough International Airshow in the UK is the biggest, most internationally attended aerospace event in the world.
On booth A14 in hall 1 at the Farnborough event, visitors will experience live displays of LuciadMap, the company's flagship software suite designed to build aeronautical information systems with superior graphical capabilities. Recognized Air Pictures take full advantage of its multi-threading and multi-core processing power.

In its recent release, LuciadMap V8 offers pioneering support for the upcoming AIXM 5 standard, high responsiveness with complete control over performance parameters, and powerful new capabilities for the handling of large amounts of data, without the need for preprocessing.

Luciad's exhibit highlights will include powerful 2D and 3D displays of aeronautical information, real-time track data ATC demos, interactive multi-touch tools for UAV mission planning, and Air Command and Control Center applications such as real-time visualization of Blue Force Tracking.

'We are confident that Farnborough will offer our company a superb business platform and an excellent environment in which to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the global aerospace market', said Lode Missiaen, CEO from Luciad.L
