MDH Defense - New Contract For NBC Filtration Systems

MDH Defence has announced a new contract award for Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) filtration systems for the new Mowag Eagle IV.
The first systems have been supplied and fitted for this new ballistic and mine protected 4x4 vehicle currently being offered worldwide.

The over pressure NBC filtration system supplied by MDH Defence improves the operational capability of the vehicle and provides the crew with a high degree of protection from hazards associated with many NBC (CBRN) incidents. The system fitted to the Mowag Eagle IV uses the standard US M48 composite NBC filter which is a very efficient and reliable unit.

The over pressure filtration system allows the crew to operate inside the vehicle during a CBRN incident without having to wear full IPE (Individual Protective Equipment - NBC suit and respirator etc) but still operate in complete safety.

The filtration system is connected to a comprehensive control box which, among other things, displays the vehicle over pressure to ensure crew safety. The vehicle over pressure level is alarmed to warn the crew if the vehicle pressure is too low; this also enables the crew to increase the fan speed as necessary to allow for filter blockage and increase the vehicle pressure to a safe level.
