MAST - USCG Chief to take part in the Stockholm conference.
Rear-Admiral James Watson has confirmed his participation at next week’s MAST 2009 Conference and trade-show in Stockholm, Sweden.

Rear-Admiral Watson completes the impressive line-up of keynote speakers following the official opening of the fourth Annual MAST. Other speakers will include:

* State Secretary, Hakan Jevrell, Sweden
* Rear-Admiral Nils Wang (Chairman of European Chiefs of Navies)
* General Victor Trufanov, Chief of Russian Coast Guard, Russia
* Ambassador Hans Corell, former Under-Secretary-General for Legal Affairs and the Legal Counsel of the United Nations
* Admiral Dino Nascetti, Director General Naval Armaments, Italian Navy, Italy

The high profile session – commencing at 0900hrs on Wednesday 21st October – will be proceeded by rousing music provided by the forty-piece Swedish Navy band.

The opening/keynote session will set the tone for the major themes of MAST 2009 conference – see timetable – and in conjunction with the Plenary session on Friday 23rd provides a framework for the week’s discussions/debates.
