Improving value on Government IT Programs led discussions between Envitia and Cabinet Minister from the UK Government
Envitia had the pleasure of a visit from the Cabinet Office Minister, the Rt Hon Francis Maude on Friday 30th July. As the local MP, Francis expressed interest in Envitia as a growing business and the Envitia team took the opportunity to provide an overview of activities and recent successes.

John Massey, CEO at Envitia, commented, “The meeting with Francis was very useful, especially as he has responsibility for Government initiatives to reduce costs and drive better value out of IT programmes. Envitia’s focus on value from innovation complements those objectives, and we were pleased to be in a position to offer knowledge and expertise, as well as relate our own experiences of the geospatial industry and its significance for the UK.”

Discussions were wide-ranging and very constructive even given the current financial backdrop. Envitia are poised to support increased productivity in line with current Government activity and plan to maintain contact with Francis and his team.

After the meeting Francis Maude stated, “I’ve been spending a lot of time on reducing costs within Government IT programmes and Envitia obviously have a lot of experience in this field. It was a really timely visit and it will be particularly pleasing to develop an on-going relationship with a local company.”
