JRA Aerospace Ltd
: 22 November, 2008  (New Product)
JRA Aerospace and Gates Aviation Consulting LLP will be working together to support major airlines and airports with their safety management and security projects throughout Europe.
Both companies are renowned as leading safety and security European consultancies within the field of aviation risk management. The collaboration of their individual specialist consultant teams will present an attractive service offering to Airports and Airlines at a time when safety is of prime importance and a prerequisite of air carrier responsibility. The collaboration was deemed a worthwhile step by both organisations primarily because of the synergies that exist between both companies and the influence of ICAO safety management regulations that will come into force early next year.

Together, Gates and JRA will provide a full safety management programme offering, (including multi site capability) safety reviews, accident investigation, SMS, aviation threat and risk assessments. The collaboration will also offer a comprehensive contingency planning capability unique in the aviation marketplace.

Ron Lindsay, Managing Partner of Gates Aviation Consulting LLP, commented: In collaborating with JRA Aerospace we are able to offer European Airports and Airlines an even more comprehensive service offering. Safety Management Systems are not just a desired technique within aviation, they are a fundamental prerequisite of commercial aviation and feature strongly within safety regulations, trans-nationally.

Peter Moores, Managing Director of JRA Aerospace, added:

It is no longer acceptable or viable to work to a minimum safety standard or code of practice because the impacts can be devastating. Together with Gates Aviation Consulting we want to raise the bar in aviation safety management. Aviation companies trade on their safety reputation and there is nothing more vulnerable, and perishable, than that reputation.
