Inertial Aerosytems has announced availability of a new range of oven controlled and voltage controlled crystal oscillators. These rugged devices are designed to meet the demanding requirements of the military and space industries and are available in a range of frequencies from 5/160 MHz in single, dual and quad outputs. Excellent phase noise, temperature stability and ageing are exhibited by these rugged units.
The models designed for launch and space environments can cope with random vibration of up to 25g rms minimum, and shock of up to 1000g. They are Pyroshock tested with TID Hardness of up to 200Krads (Si). Compact ovened and temperature controlled designs are available.



The Mil-spec oven controlled oscillators have been tested and survived multiple shocks up to 100g, as well as random acceleration of 46g rms up to 2KHz.The units can be hardened to tactical levels for gamma, neutron and total dose conditions. The use of acceleration compensation technology, allows for low g sensitivity.



This range is ideal for use in specialised environments, and where space and weight are a premium. Although primarily designed for use in military and space, they have applications in the Electronic, Engineering, Processing and Laboratory Industries where harsh conditions are experienced. All oscillators have a 2 year warranty.
