Homeland Security Simulation System on show at I/ITSEC
Elbit Systems will showcase its Homeland Security Simulation System (HLS2) including additional capabilities of at I/ITSEC 2009 (booth #1125) taking place in Orlando Florida, from November 30th until December 3rd 2009.

The HLS2 (Homeland Security Simulation) Systems' primary goal is to increase the readiness and proficiency of crisis managers, decision makers and field commanders in handling crisis situations, restoring public safety and saving lives.

The HLS2 System enables training, operational mission rehearsal and security planning. The systems allows doctrine, procedural evaluation and development for first responders and emergency agencies such as police, rescue & fire fighters, medical care, NBCR teams, local & state authorities and control room commanders in complex urban environments, handling diverse catastrophic situations.

Elbit Systems HLS2 now offers the latest next-generation capabilities in a wider spectrum of security scenarios, among them: simulation of an entire large scale urban arena or a specific strategic facility, large scale sport events, diverse crowd behaviour, hazardous materials events, rescue in destruction sites, terror attacks, natural disasters and more. All these security scenarios are based on highly accurate simulative models, simulating the factors influencing the event and its outcomes, while allowing an unlimited number of scenarios created by the customer.

Based on a realistic simulation of the virtual environment and re-configurable trainee stations, the HLS2 enables effective multi-organizational training, while allowing the trainee to dynamically affect scenarios while using all means of command and control.

Elbit Systems HLS2 product is based on COTS (Commercial-Off-The Shelf) hardware and can be easily adapted to any customer's needs by implementing a specific required geographical database and specific adaptations of forces and models represented in the simulative arena.

The HLS2 is a robust proven product, already delivered to various customers all over the world including national police forces, major cities' security departments, medical organizations, NBCR teams, various first responders' organizations and multi disciplinary crisis management control rooms.
