General Dynamics Information Technology Receives Circle of Excellence Award
General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics, has received the General Services Administration (GSA) 2006 Millennia Lite Circle of Excellence Award. General Dynamics supports many task orders using Millennia Lite including the Federal emergency management Agency's System Enhancement and Operational Support, U.S. Central Command Air Forces Information Systems Support, Air Force Product Data Management and the Coast Guard National Distress System.

Awarded by the Information Technology (IT) Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) Center, the Circle of Excellence Award honors GSA Millennia Lite contractors that receive high ratings on the annual Contractor Performance Evaluations (CPE). General Dynamics was recognized for outstanding performance under the Millennia Lite Functional Area 2, 3 and 4 contracts, for which it provides High End Information Technology Services, Mission Support Services, Legacy Systems Migration and New Enterprise Systems Development. General Dynamics also received the Circle of Excellence Award in 2003 and 2005.

'General Dynamics has provided services to hundreds of clients for over six years through the Millennia Lite contracts and we will continue offering superior information technology solutions in support of all four Functional Areas,' said Mike Chandler, president of General Dynamics Information Technology. 'We are extremely proud to be recognized for our ability to fulfill the mission-critical needs of our government clients and provide high quality support to GSA's programs and task orders.'

The CPEs include assessments of the task work done during the previous year and the rating of the vendor by the government Procuring Contracts Officer. Every January contractors are rated in five areas: quality of service, timeliness of performance, project management, invoicing and cost control. Circle of Excellence Award winners must consistently provide high continuous service for three consecutive years.

The Circle of Excellence Awards will be presented on Tuesday, May 15, at the Millennia Lite Program Review during the GSA Expo 2007 in Orlando, Fl.

General Dynamics is currently bidding on GSA's newest IT government wide contract, Alliant, under General Dynamics One Source. A follow-on to the ANSWER and Millennia contracts, Alliant will be awarded this summer.
