Aerospace Industries Association (AIA)
: 07 May, 2010  (Company News)
Politicians and Industry Representatives have taken part in the first Senate Aerospace Caucus (more accurately a forum) set up to determine the future of the US Aerospace and Defence Industry comprising joint chairmanship from opposing political parties
The first-ever meeting of the Senate Aerospace Caucus has initiated an important forum for senators, their staff and representatives from the Aerospace industry to discuss issues that impact the nationís defence, civil aviation and space sectors. We appreciate the leadership of the co-chairmen, Senators Patty Murray and Christopher Bond in establishing the caucus.

We were particularly pleased that the inaugural event included participation by Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley and AIA Chairman Scott Donnelly, President and CEO of Textron, discussing defence industrial base issues, acquisition reform and workforce needs. Weíre looking forward to working with the members of the caucus to help shape the discussion on the future of the aerospace and defence industry.
