NCI
: 26 February, 2010  (Application Story)
The US Army has placed an order on NCI for C4I/IT relocation support at Fort Meade
NCI has been awarded a single-award task order to provide support for the US Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Enterprise Systems Engineering Directorate in support of the Defence Information Systems Agency (DISA) Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence/Information Technology (C4I/IT) relocation effort to Ft Meade, MD. The total potential value of the task order award is $83.7 million if all options are exercised. The period of performance for the base and option period is February 22, 2010, to June 30, 2011.

Under this competitively awarded task order, NCI will provide support for the relocation of the C4I/IT components from their current facilities to a new combined headquarters facility at Fort Meade, MD. DISA, a Combat Support Agency, engineers and provides command and control capabilities and enterprise infrastructure to continuously operate and assure a global netcentric enterprise in direct support of joint fighting forces, national level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of operations.

The support to be provided by NCI includes detailed design, procurement, implementation, integration, test and acceptance for common level services including administrative telephone, secure voice, unclassified and classified local area networks, and audio visual services. In addition NCI will provide basic planning and transport services for the relocation of mission-unique and test and development systems from their current locations to Fort Meade.

We are thrilled to have been selected to work with USAISEC to accomplish this important DISA BRAC effort. This win is the latest in a series of NCI wins over the last 18 months on the TEIS contract and validates our strategy of focusing on C4I/IT design and implementation efforts in support of major Department of Defence Headquarter and Combatant Command (COCOM) relocations, whether the requirement is driven as a result of the BRAC initiatives or other mission needs. Other related TEIS awards over the last 18 months include support for the: US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) and Army Reserve Command; the 4th Infantry Division; the 1st Infantry Division; the US Central Command (CENTCOM); as well as our Information Assurance BRAC task, said Terry Glasgow, NCI President.
