Farnborough Aerospace Consortium
: 07 September, 2007  (New Product)
FAC has recently opened its first overseas office in Dubai - an important expansion for FAC, helping members to keep up with the pace of globalisation.

Commenting on the new venture, John Ellis, UAE Business Development Director for FAC, said 'The opening of a dedicated office for our members within the heart of the business district in Dubai is an exciting new development for FAC. As we establish a firm base in the Middle East and endeavour to win a share of the expanding aerospace market in both the UAE and the wider Gulf region, this venture can only be a positive move for British business. We already have ten members with representatives in the office, with another 15 expected by the end of 2007.'

'The infrastructure offered by FAC gives our members a unique subsidised opportunity to enable any company to establish their own Dubai office address, under their own brand, based in the prestigious Emirates Towers.'

Reflecting on this important initiative, Ross Bradley, Chief Executive of FAC, 'This is a fantastic opportunity for both FAC members but also the wider UK aerospace and defence industry. The new Dubai office will provide a marketing opportunity for British business across the Gulf Region and equally for investors to secure business in the UK and complements recent announcements by Boeing, Airbus and Bombardier about their own major investments in the region. FAC will be there to support business and open doors I can't think of a better time for businesses to invest.'

FAC will be hosting a visit by Micheal Proffitt, CEO of Dubai World Central/Logistics City in October. For more information about his presentation, please email dwc@fac.org.uk or telephone the FAC office on 01252 375600.
