Northrop Grumman
: 09 June, 2008  (Company News)
Northrop Grumman Corporation is one of 26 companies awarded an ENCORE II Information Technology (IT) Solutions contract by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). ENCORE II, a follow-on contract to ENCORE, provides the full range of IT solutions required by Military Agencies, Department of Defense, and other agencies of the Federal Government.
The ENCORE II program is a 10-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a maximum ceiling value of $12.225 billion available for task order awards. Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector was awarded a portion of the original contract, ENCORE, in 2002.

Under the terms of the contract, Northrop Grumman will provide IT services and associated enabling products to satisfy IT activities at all operating levels, including hardware and software incidental to an overall IT solution. Areas supported by this contract include command and control, intelligence and mission support areas, as well as all elements of the Global Information Grid.

'We look forward to continuing to build from our accomplishments under ENCORE and apply these successes to ENCORE II,' said Catherine Kuenzel, vice president of Enterprise Infrastructure Services and Solutions for Northrop Grumman IT's Defense group. 'The award of this follow-on contract is a validation that we continue to exceed the standards put forth by the Defense Information Systems Agency in support of meeting their mission and goals.'

Information technology support on the task orders will be performed throughout the United States and its territories, and in any country where the customer has a presence.
