DRS Technologies, Inc. was one of several large companies awarded the Future Flexible Acquisition & Sustainment Tool (F2AST) Program indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide life-cycle support to the U.S. Air Force.
The DRS team includes AAR Services Inc., Alabama Aircraft Industries, Inc., EJM Aerospace Services, Empire Aero Center, Lear Siegler Services Inc., EG&G Technical Services, Triad International Maintenance Corporation and Westwind Technologies, Inc.

The contract includes modifications, development, repairs, and limited, critical or contingency spares for all Air Force-managed weapons systems. Product centers and other agencies or services are allowed to utilize F2AST through their sponsoring Air Logistics Center. The maximum value of the contract is $6.9 billion and the contracting agency is located at Warner Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.

The work will be carried out by the Engineering and Logistics line of business of the DRS Technical Services business segment in Herndon, VA. 'This is a strategic opportunity for DRS to expand our support for the United States Air Force in our core competencies of aircraft modification, repair and overhaul,' said Dr. Mitchell B. Rambler, president of DRS Technical Services.

DRS Technical Services is a recognized leader in advanced technology and systems integration support, providing a wide range of engineering and logistics services, products and services for fuel and water distribution, comprehensive communications network and information technology support, and integrated physical security and intrusion detection systems for domestic and international military forces.
