: 10 May, 2010  (Company News)
As the new Vice President of Technology for Optics and Photonics, recruited expert will focus on new product and market development
Devid Erickson, an expert in managing photonic product engineering and manufacturing teams, joins the CVI Melles Griot team as VP of Technology for Optics and Photonics Products as CVI Melles Griot looks to grow through acquisition, new product development, and market development efforts. Erickson’s long and successful career in managing technical teams in all aspects of optical systems design, integration, development, metrology, and optical manufacturing for military, space, and commercial-OEM systems will enable CVI Melles Griot to successfully integrate its recent and future acquisitions in the Optics and Photonics industry.

“We look forward to the immediate contributions Dave can make in meeting customer needs regarding improved lead times, product specifications, and product performance,” says CVI Melles Griot CEO Stuart Schoenmann. “Our customers look to us to provide more value through the development of higher level assemblies, higher performing products, and integrated optical systems. Integrating capabilities across multiple centres of excellence within one company will become instrumental to providing more value to our customers than they could currently get by sourcing partial solutions through a network of disconnected vendors.”
