Versar has been involved in the Wounded Warrior project with the completion of a residential building project at the Walter Reed Army Medical Centre in Washington
The Court One Corporation/Versar team has recently completed a $1.3 million design/build project to renovate Building 17, a residential building housing wounded soldiers and Army Community Service at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington. This project was contracted with the US Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District and was completed under budget, on schedule, and with high satisfaction of the end-users.

The Building 17 renovation was a part of the Wounded Warrior Project, which improved safety, accessibility, and the comfort of building occupants. The project was conducted by the Court One/Versar Team which completed the renovation and system shutdowns of the occupied building without disruptions to the building’s occupants. The 12 month project involved the installation of new heating and cooling units, electrical fixtures and circuits, and architectural requirements to meet American Disability Act standards.

Jeff Wagonhurst, President of Versar said, “Its always very satisfying to be part of a project that gives back to our soldiers and those unfortunate to be wounded in defending our Nation. We are proud of Versar’s contribution to these heroes.”
