: 07 February, 2013  (New Product)
The Typhoon, Spartan and Cougar armoured vehicles are available from Streit for protecting forces personnel from blasts and from ballistic attacks

Streit Group currently has a range of APCs and LAVs in stock and ready for immediate deployment by governments looking for additional assets in their fight against terrorism and insurgency.

Using the latest technology to provide maximum protection against blast and ballistic attack, the vehicles that are currently available include:

* Typhoon – a multi-purpose mine resistant ambush vehicle which, with its advanced design combined with simple mechanics, is adaptable to a variety of roles and missions.

* Spartan – a multifunctional and adaptable LAV with the speed and manoeuvrability to perform a range of functions in both urban and rough terrain environments.

* Cougar – capable of operating beyond the capabilities of most tactical wheeled vehicles, this all-terrain APC has turret and other weapon station options.

Headquartered in Canada, Streit Group has production plants in the UAE, USA, Iraq, Russia, India, Jordan, Pakistan and Turkey and has the capacity to produce over 500 vehicles per month. As a result, it is in the unique position of being able to meet urgent demands for rapid deployment.

Guerman Goutorov, founder & CEO of Streit Group, commented: “With over 20 years’ experience of supplying battlefield-tested armoured vehicles, we are delighted to be in the position where we can provide immediate help to those engaged in counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency.”
