The Boeing Company has submitted its proposal to the U.S. Air Force for the development and production of up to 12 Global Positioning System (GPS) III satellites. The enhanced spacecraft will offer positioning service that is 10 times better than today's system as well as improved anti-jamming capabilities for the warfighter. |

Alliant Techsystems has received an $8 million modification to the existing production contract to manufacture solid propellant rocket motors for the Sparrow medium range air-to-air missile system. The contract modification was awarded to ATK by the Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland to supply rocket motors for Foreign Military Sales (FMS). |

The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, $56 million to upgrade 14 M93 and four M93A1 Fox Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Reconnaissance Systems to the M93A1P1 configuration. The M93A1P1 is the most updated configuration of the Fox NBCRS and features a survivability improvement package. This includes slat armor, armor protection against improvised explosive devices and accommodations for the common Remotely Operated Weapon Station. |
