Kilgore Flares Co., LLC, Toone, Tenn., is being awarded an $18,515,596 firm-fixed-price contract. This contract award is to procure replenishment spares for the F-22 aircraft. The products purchased are flares-specifically MJU-39, MJU-40 and BBU-59. These flares are countermeasures designed to defeat air-to-air guided missiles. At this time, total funds have been obligated. Solicitations began February 2006 and negotiations were complete October 2006. This work will be complete June 2008. Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (FA8213-0-C-). |
