Kaan Havacilik Purchases AgustaWestland Grand and AW139 Helicopters
AgustaWestland is pleased to announce that Turkish Kaan Havacilik has purchased three Grand and two AW139 helicopters. The purchase of these models confirms the remarkable growth trend of AgustaWestland sales in the Turkish Helicopter market, bringing to ten units the number of helicopters purchased in the country in the last two years.Kaan Havacilik, located in Istanbul, is an established provider of Helicopter sales and services including executive air transport and air tours. Kaan Havacilik is also the distributor in Turkey for AgustaWestland‘s commercial helicopters and has already purchased A119 Koala single engine helicopters. The rapid and noteworthy result achieved by AgustaWestland in Turkey leads Kaan Havacilik to exceed the originally estimated purchase needs and to foresee a constant growth in the next few years. The Grand, is a new top-of-the-range light twin Helicopter providing the cabin space and payload that until now could only be met by larger more expensive helicopters. Powered by two new generation Pratt & Whitney PW207C turbo shaft engines with electronic control (FADEC), the aircraft has excellent performance and safety.
