Alliant Techsystems has received $80 million in additional orders for 20mm M940, 25mm M792 and PGU-23, and LW30 M789 medium-caliber Ammunition from the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Rock Island Arsenal, IL. Work on the contracts will be

The M940 is a 20mm round used by the Counter-Rocket Artillery Mortar (C-RAM) force protection system. The M792 is a 25mm tactical round used by the Army's Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle as well as the U.S. Marine Corps' Light Armored Vehicle (LAV). The PGU-23 is a 25mm target practice round used by the U.S. Air Force on AC-130 gunships and the Marine Corps' AV-8B Harrier. The M789 is a Light Weight 30mm tactical round used by the U.S. Army's AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopters. |
