Alliant Techsystems has received an additional $14 million in orders for the production of small-caliber ammunition. These contracts were issued by the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Rock Island, Ill.

'Our 2,500 plant employees are proud of the role they play in ensuring the United States has the best-equipped military in the world.'ATK operates the U.S. Army's Lake City Ammunition plant in Independence, Mo., where it produces a mix of 5.56mm, 7.62mm, .50-caliber and 20mm cartridges. ATK currently produces 1.4 billion rounds of small caliber Ammunition per year at the plant. |
