Science Applications International Corporation has been awarded a task order by the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) System Center - Atlantic, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence Division to provide improvised explosive device-defeat (IED-D) training services.
The task order is for one year with a total value of more than $17 million. Work will be performed by SAIC's wholly-owned subsidiary Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc. (EMA). The task order was awarded under the Seaport-e contract.Under the task order, SAIC will provide training support services to the Marine Corps Engineer Center of Excellence's Mobile Training Cadre/Train The Trainer Program. The program instructs forces on the tenants of IED-D and counter-IED radio controlled electronic warfare, equipping them with individual and collective skills to help mitigate the IED threat. 'We look forward to supporting the Marine Corps' effort to provide warfighters with IED-D tactics, techniques and procedures to help in the battle against the IED threat,' said Debbie James, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager. |
