SBAC - 2009 UK aerospace survey launched

SBAC (published 20/02/2009)

The Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) has launched its 2009 aerospace sector survey. The SBAC aims to publish the findings in the summer around the time of the Paris Airshow in late June.

The survey is the leading analysis of the UK Aerospace industry and covers
all sectors from civil aircraft and defence to security and space. The
results are used by a variety of stakeholders in the industry, including
Government, the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD)
and SBAC member companies. The Government in particular uses the survey as
its official figures for the Aerospace industry when designing its policies
and it is also used as a reference point by other interested parties outside
the industry.

SBAC aims to deliver the highest possible level of participation this year
and encourages all relevant companies to respond. To achieve this aim the
survey form will be mailed out and also available for completion on the SBAC
website.

Ian Godden, SBAC Chief Executive, said:

'The SBAC survey is the authoritative look at the UK aerospace sector. Its
findings are used by both the industry and Government to analyse the
industry's present as well as plan its future.

'I encourage as many companies in the sector as possible to get involved to
ensure that we have the highest quality figures in our final report. Our
important statistical analysis will once again give a valuable insight in to
this world-leading British industry for a variety of audiences.'
