Teledyne TSS Ltd has won a further order to supply 3 Orion INS systems for the Korean Coastguard. This is the latest of 3 such orders from this customer.

KVH Industries - $6 million order for its precision DSP-3100 fiber optic gyros (FOGs)

KVH Industries, has announced that it has received a $6 million order for its precision DSP-3100 fiber optic gyros (FOGs) from Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace for use in the Protector family of remote weapon stations. The contract is subject to the successful completion of DSP-3100 testing and qualification. This order represents an initial procurement of DSP-3100 FOGs with shipments scheduled to begin during the third quarter of 2008.

6th Modernised GPS satellite for USAF launched

A U.S. Air Force modernized Global Positioning System Block IIR (GPS IIR-M) satellite, built by Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), was successfully launched today from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station aboard a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta II launch vehicle.

Teledyne TSS - Heading and Digital Repeaters for Braziliian Navy.

The Brazilian Naval Commission has this week taken delivery of 16 Teledyne-TSS Meridian Heading Repeaters and 4 Meridian Digital Repeaters, in an order valued at ?65K. The units will be installed across the Brazilian Naval Fleet.

KVH Industries - TACNAV(R) vehicle navigation systems contract

KVH Industries, has announced that it has received two orders from a U.S. defense contractor for the purchase of components and upgrades for KVH's TACNAV(R) vehicle navigation systems for use on U.S. military combat vehicles. The two orders, which have a total value of approximately $1.4 million, are scheduled to begin shipping in the first quarter of 2008

Northrop Grumman - Next-Generation Air Data Inertial Reference Units for SilkAir

SilkAir, the Singapore Airlines-owned regional carrier, has selected Northrop Grumman Corporation's latest air data inertial reference unit, known as the LTN-101E, for its new Airbus A320 aircraft.

Inertial Aerosystems - New GPS Aided DR Navigation Module

Inertial Aerosystems announce the availability of a new affordable miniature electronic board module for personnel on foot that provides the user’s position relative to a preselected point. Manufactured by US based Honeywell, the Dead Reckoning Module (DRM) 4000 gives an accurate position derived from dead reckoning data and external GPS NMEA data disciplined by an internal Kalman filter.

DRS Technologies - $145m Contract For Driver Vision Enhancer

DRS Technologies,has announced that it has been awarded a new multi-year contract valued at approximately $145 million, including options, to produce Driver Vision Enhancer (DVE) A-Kits for installation on a wide range of frontline U.S. Army tactical wheeled and combat vehicles. Increasing drivers' vision capability, survivability and mobility in hazardous, low-visibility conditions during the day or night, the DVE systems are supporting U.S. Army and Marine Corps units engaged in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
